Experience
I studied at Southern University-Baton Rouge and the University of Georgia. Both my bachelor's and master's are in history. I have worked as a tutor for several years. I first started tutoring history for University of Georgia athletes. I have also taught as an adjunct teacher at a two-year college. Also, I have spent a lot of time tutoring mathematics to high school students with varying disabilities. It is easy to see that I have a varied background when it comes to my tutoring experience.As a tutor, I like to make the material that my students are learning as relevant to their interests as possible. I believe that this helps with getting the student to become more engaged in the material. I want my students to inquire about the material and use high-order thinking and practical applications. I believe that all students have the chance to reach all of their academic goals. All they need is a little help figuring out which learning style benefits them the most.I am well versed in many subjects including elementary and middle school math, algebra 1, American history, world history, social studies, and math.In my spare time, I enjoy watching movie, sports, reading, and writing.
